Paul Nickelsberg is president and chief technical officer of Orchid Technologies Engineering and Consulting, Inc. an electronic product development engineering firm with strengths in high end computer design, embedded system development, mixed signal electronic design, precision analog electronics, medical product design, instrumentation design, power system design, industrial product development, motion control, consumer electronics, networking, telecommunications, wireless and video system design. Paul has over thirty years experience as a technical innovator and problem solver.
As president and chief technical officer of Orchid Technologies Engineering and Consulting, Inc., Paul has established an extensive track record of producing practical, reliable, cost effective electronic product designs from concept to production. Often described by his clients as their ‘design-advocate’, he is committed, knowledgeable, resourceful, reliable, and driven. Paul combines unusually broad system level electronics design ability with practical cost-sensitive on-shore and off-shore manufacturing expertise. Paul excels under pressure when rapid design cycles, demanding technical requirements, and unforgiving project schedules really matter.
Prior to establishing OTEC, Paul worked for BBN Communications, Inc. and Digital Equipment Corporation. Paul holds a number of US and European patents and has taught at MIT’s Lowell Institute of Technology, Design News Magazine, and Altera Corporation. Paul earned his B.S. in electrical engineering from Union College in Schenectady, NY in 1982.
